An Intro to C.Quince author

 

An introduction!

Hi, I'm C. Quince. I write Sci-Fi, Fantasy and contemporary M/M books with a diverse cast.

I'm SWANA/MENA, and at least one of my MC's is always SWANA/MENA too.

For reference: SWANA = South West Asia, North Africa.

SWANA is a newer term for MENA.

MENA = Middle East, North Africa.

I've personally used MENA for longer and am comfortable with it, though I generally say I am West Asian instead of Middle Eastern when speaking the words instead of the shortened acronym. Why? Because the continent is Asia. 'Middle East' is a colonial term, and I know there's a growing movement to put Middle East and MENA away, but I find myself still using MENA the acronym, as more people recognise it than SWANA the acronym at this time of writing. This could change in the future! 

So!

Who and what do I write?!

My signature MMC is a short MENA king with a sharp knife.

So far I have three books out with number four on the way later this year.

My current books are Specimen (Sci-Fi, Paranormal), Jingle Jingle Kill (contemporary spies, also set in the same world as Specimen with some characters crossing over), and Consorting with the King (Regency Romance, Solarpunk Sci-Fi).

Actually, Consorting with the King doesn't have knives but it has swords! If you enjoy fencing and duels!

I am also British, which is probably obvious from my characters! So far the MC's have ranged from cockney London (Specimen) to posh boys (Jingle Jingle Kill).

My next release is a Historical Fantasy, and I'm excited to share it! Due around September. 

I started this blog mainly to highlight fun little details from my books, things I find interesting, and general news roundups.
